SR-IQAC organized a workshop on Bibliometric Analysis

The Sponsored Research (SR) unit of the Pro-Vice Chancellor’s office and the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) jointly organized an Online Workshop on Bibliometric Analysis on January 27, 2022. Dr. Abdul Matin Chowdhury of International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) conducted the Workshop as the resource person. Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan, Ph.D., Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor of IUB, put forth his welcome remarks. Dr. Md. Hafizur Rahman, Director, IQAC delivered the introductory remarks.
A total of 31 participant attended in this interactive workshop. On behalf of the Sponsored Research wing, Mr. Hasan Saimum Wahab, Asst. Director and Officer in Charge of the wing, delivered the formal vote of thanks. Mr. Md. Rayatul Islam, Senior Officer, Outreach, Extension and Continuing Education, Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor, IUB moderated the Workshop.
Bibliometric analysis is a widely used research method for detecting the state of the art for a particular field. The method utilizes quantitative analysis and statistics to describe patterns of publications within a given period or body of literature. The workshop was designed for both the early-career faculty members looking for a thorough introduction as well as for the faculty members in their advanced career looking to enrich and strengthen their skills.
