Director’s Message

Greetings from the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB)!

The Cell was established in 2015 in order to institutionalize and substantiate IUB’s priority to the quality since its inception with an initial funding from IUB as well as the project “Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP)” under the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh, Ministry of Education. The establishment of IQAC has added a significant dot to the prestigious history of IUB’s uncompromising journey in order to provide quality education in this country.  Since its inception, IUB created a long tradition of good practices in higher education thus became a symbol of quality, a name, full of hope. However, it believes quality is not the summation of acts, rather a habit; hence there is no finishing line in achieving quality. Therefore, IUB happily accepted the wonderful opportunity extended by the Quality Assurance Unit of University Grants Commission under the HEQEP project and established an independent unit called Institutional Quality Assurance Cell, which is known as IQAC. I would like to thank QAU, UGC, HEQEP, World Bank and obviously IUB for taking such timely initiative that is going to change our higher education environment.

It is the enthusiasm of the members of faculty and management as well as the students, their unconditional sincere cooperation that are going to be the capital for this tough journey of IQAC. Without them this premise would have no meaning. As the Director of IQAC i would like to make this request to all of our stakeholders, let us do the best and be the leader. Our predecessors had a dream who established this institution. It is us who are going to make this dream come true.
