IQAC-IUB organized a workshop on hybrid learning

A series of virtual workshops on ‘launching hybrid classroom’ was held on October 14 & 16, 2021 organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell, IQAC of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) with the technical support from the Institute for Development of Online Learning (IDOL). This series of workshops was inspired by the IUB’s Vice Chancellor Tanweer Hasan, PhD. Professor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Dean, School of Engineering, Technology & Sciences (SETS), IUB and Chairman, IDOL was the resource person in the workshop. He conducted the whole session and elaborated the contents. The Director of IQAC-IUB Dr Md. Hafizur Rahman put forth his welcoming remarks. The Additional Director of IQAC-IUB Mr Obydullah Al Marjuk facilitated the events.
A total of 273 faculty members from 5 schools joined the workshops divided into five sessions spread over two days: 1. School of Business & Entrepreneurship (SBE), 2. School of Engineering, Technology and Sciences (SETS), 3. School of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences (SLASS), 4. School of Environment and Life Sciences (SELS) and School of Pharmacy and Public Health (SPPH). The sessions were run following the hybrid model in order to demonstrate the actual procedure of a hybrid classroom.
Professor Meherun Ahmed, Dean, School of Business & Entrepreneurship (SBE), Professor Taiabur Rahman, Dean, School of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences (SLASS), Professor Shah M. Faruque, Dean, School of Environment and Life Sciences (SELS), and Professor J M A Hannan, Dean, School of Pharmacy and Public Health (SPPH) were also present in respective sessions and addressed the audience.
