Md. Abdur Razzak received BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) in 1995 securing first class first position with Gold Medal. He completed his MSc and PhD in Energy Engineering from Nagoya University, Japan in 2003 and 2006, respectively. He is currently a Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Independent University, Bangladesh. He is also serving as the Additional Director, Green Energy Research Center (GERC) of IUB. He also served as the Head of EEE department at IUB (2016-2018). He is a recipient of Japanese Government Scholarship (2000-2006), IEEE Graduate Scholar Award (2005), Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Postdoctoral Fellowship Award (2008), RUET Gold Medal (1995), HKUST Fellowship (1999), Hori Information Science Promotion Award (2005), Visiting Professorship at MJIIT, University Technology Malaysia (2015), IUB Teaching Excellence Award (2020) and IUB Publication Excellence Award (2020). He served as the General Chairs, Technical Program Chairs, Technical Program Co-Chairs, Session Chairs, International Program Committee Members, Advisory Board Members and Editorial Board Members in more than 30 journals and international conferences. He has been invited more than 20 national & international conferences and universities as keynote speakers. He has served as the expert member for graduate (MSc & PhD) examination committee in more than 25 universities at home and abroad. He has conducted more than 30 workshops on Outcome Based Education, Curriculum Development and BAETE Accreditation in the Public and Private Universities of Bangladesh. He has more than 25 years of teaching experiences and published more than 175 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. His research interests include power electronics, renewable energy technologies, EV charging systems and smart grid. He is a senior member of IEEE and Fellow of IEB.
